The kind of quiet that's hard to find. Tucked on a wooded cul-de-sac, with deer wandering into view and nothing on the agenda — this home invites you to exhale.

Two separate living spaces mean adults can linger over coffee while kids have their own room to play. The pine-wood den, fire pit, and stocked kitchen make it feel like a place you want to come back to — and most guests do.

*****
We absolutely loved our stay here! The owner was incredibly kind and helpful. The house itself has everything you need and more and is very cozy. All the beds were comfortable. The deck was definitely our favorite part. It was very spacious and such a joy to spend time on. The deer greeting us in the backyard was a fun plus. Also, the pool is literally a few steps away! Perfect location, great getaway for families and we will 100% try to come back here soon.

THE AREA

Most people drive right past it.

The ones who stop keep coming back.

Hamlin sits on the quieter, less-commercial edge of the Poconos — close enough to everything, far enough from the crowds. Lake Wallenpaupack is your playground: Pennsylvania's second-largest lake, with room to actually breathe on the water. No indoor waterpark vibe. No traffic. Just 5,700 acres of open lake surrounded by mountain forest.

The towns of Hawley and Honesdale are a short drive — charming main streets with antique shops, craft breweries, lake-view restaurants, and a luxury spa resort that was made for girls' weekends. It feels like the Poconos that locals know, not the one in the brochures.eas, Real Impact.

  • A lake that earns its reputation. Big enough that you never feel crowded. Boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and fishing — with bald eagles and herons overhead.

  • The Pocono experience without the resort bubble. Unlike Great Wolf Lodge or the ski resorts, this area is outdoors-first — mountain trails, sunsets on the water, and small-town Pocono charm.

  • Breathtaking in every season. Summer for the water, fall for the foliage, winter for the stillness. Guests who visit once tend to return the next season to see it differently.

  • Hawley & Honesdale on your doorstep. Wallenpaupack Brewing Co., The Lodge at Woodloch Spa, Hawley Antique Exchange, lakeside dining — all within 15 minutes.

  • Not the touristy part of the Poconos. Spread-out, genuine, and peaceful — the kind of place people feel protective of once they discover it.

Wonderful stay in the Poconos

“We enjoyed our time in this spacious house in the woods. Shopping and restaurants were close to the property. The owner is friendly and answered all of our questions. We had a wonderful time relaxing by the fire outdoors in their lovely backyard. Thank you.”

OUR STORY

We bought this place
for the same reason you're here

We needed somewhere to slow down — quiet, simple, and close to nature. This cabin became exactly that: a place to exhale. Morning coffee on the deck, deer wandering through the yard, unhurried days with our kids, and the kind of peace that's genuinely hard to find.

Over the years it gave us space to reset — and we realized it's too special to keep to ourselves.

We keep it simple, clean, and comfortable. No perfection or pretense — just peace, privacy, and a warm home that feels like yours while you're here. More than anything, we want you to feel at home.

INSIDE & OUT

A home that earns its pictures

Every corner was set up with comfort in mind — not staging. What you see is what you walk into: warm wood, soft light, a deck that faces nothing but trees, and a freshly renovated bathroom that feels like a small luxury.
